NICKY’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
I first spoke to Kevin when he contacted me because he was looking for a close up magician to perform for his partner Nicky’s birthday celebrations in Clevedon Bristol in North Somerset. He told me he wanted an experienced, reliable and professional magician who could perform some amazing magic to entertain all their family and friends at their house party.
I emailed Kevin back right away and told him I could help. I sent him some useful information about my close up magic act such as previous customer reviews, promotional videos and pictures regarding my magic services for him to look over. He did so and he booked me later on the very same day.
After watching several of my YouTube videos (My channel has over five million views) he requested that I perform one of those tricks he had seen on one of my videos live at the party.

I am always passionate and excited to perform my close up magic at weddings and parties because I know I am going to create a really strong impression which in turn will make my clients look good.
For Nicky’s party there were to be around thirty guests. I suggested that the best way to work this was for me to perform an hour of mix and mingle walk around magic to family and friends as they arrived. Then to finish perform a mini cabaret spot we magicians call a “Parlour Act”. This is basically a show which everyone watches and joins in.
Since then I have performed my close up magic three more times for Kevin and Nicky including their own wedding in Bristol!
As a professional magician I get a real buzz when I know that I have made my client’s family and friends feel good and amazed them. At the end of the day, this is always my goal. It truly makes all the many hours of solo practice that I put into my act, that the public never see, totally worthwhile.
PARLOUR MAGIC ACT
During the day I performed close up magic using the skill of my hands with playing cards.
To add a little flavour and variety I also included coins, rope, paper money, borrowed jewellery and I also supplied mind reading! Most of my illusions are original in either design or presentation. I would prefer not to be seen performing magic that other magicians perform. The spectator should never know what is about to happen and therefore be surprised. If they know what is about to happen then they may work out my secret!
